Lauren Murphy

Writing has always been a passion of mine, and for many years I dreamed of writing a children's book with a story line based on our love of owning beagles.  With the encouragement and support of my husband, that dream became a reality.  The main character is a beagle named Scooter.  You will enjoy reading about his adventures.

While working full-time as a clinical researcher in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry, I spent evenings and spare moments developing story ideas and writing drafts. Beginning in 2009, I dedicated myself to creating stories that not only entertain children but also share positive messages and life lessons they can carry with them as they grow.

I am the self-published author of three children's books.  Through my writing, I hope to spark imagination, encourage kindness, and provide young readers with meaningful lessons they can apply in their everyday lives.
